Privacy
This page describes exactly what this site and the LaunchOps purchase flow do with your data. It is written to match the running system, not to be broad enough to cover anything.
Controller: LDKTech (Ky Le). Contact: [email protected].
Joining the waitlist
If you submit the waitlist form, your email address is sent to Buttondown, the newsletter provider, and stored there. It is used to send launch announcements and a monthly digest, and for nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.
Analytics
- PostHog — product analytics, used to see how many people reach the page and how many join the waitlist or buy. It is configured to create person profiles only for identified users, which on this site means it does not build a profile for anonymous visitors.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — page-level traffic measurement. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors.
Neither is used for advertising, and no data is sold or shared with advertisers. If a script is not configured for a deployment, it is not loaded at all.
Buying LaunchOps
Payment is handled by Polar, acting as merchant of record. Polar collects your payment details and handles tax; those details never reach this site and are never stored by us.
To deliver the product, we store the following in Cloudflare Workers KV:
- the Polar order id;
- the email address on the order;
- the GitHub username you supplied at checkout;
- the delivery outcome and its timestamps.
Your GitHub username is sent to GitHub to create a read-only collaborator invitation on the private customer repository. Your email address is sent to Resend, the transactional email provider, to deliver the onboarding message and, if the username on your order could not be used, the message asking you for the right one. Resend is used for those messages only — it is not a mailing list and it receives nothing else. This record is what lets access be granted, revoked on refund, and reconciled if a delivery fails — so it is kept for as long as your licence exists, and afterwards only as long as needed for accounting and dispute resolution.
Refunds
A refund processed through Polar automatically removes your access to the customer repository. The delivery record is kept, marked revoked, as proof the revocation happened.
Support
Emails you send to support, and posts in the customer GitHub Discussions, are kept so that support requests can be answered and referred back to.
Your rights
Write to [email protected] to request a copy of the data held about you, a correction, or deletion. Deletion requests are honoured except where a record must be kept for accounting obligations; you will be told if that applies. If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
The “last updated” date at the top of this page changes whenever this notice does. Material changes to how purchase data is handled are announced to the mailing list.
